Winter Reconnect Order for Utilities
Regulated gas and electric customers can utilize the Winter Reconnect Order one time starting October 14, 2019 and running through April 15, 2020 to reconnect service, connect new service, or avoid a disconnect. The order allows customers to pay $175.00 plus any reconnect fee, even if the customer owes more and cannot afford to pay the entire balance. A payment plan must be arranged for the balance above $175.00.
Regulated Utilities in our service area are: Toledo Edison, Ohio Gas, Suburban Natural Gas, AEP, Dominion, and Dayton Power and Light. These companies are PUCO regulated and have to follow this order.
There are “NO” income restrictions when using the Winter Reconnect Order.
The Winter Crisis Program administered through NOCAC’s outreach offices will begin November 1, 2019. This program allows us to pay the $175.00 for customers who are at or below 175% of the Federal Poverty Guideline.
