Rapid Rehousing

The Rapid Rehousing provides intervention to help families or individuals that are experiencing homelessness quickly move out of shelter or off the streets as soon as possible.
An assessment process determines if the household will be eligible for one time, short term, or medium term financial assistance in one or more of the following areas:

  • Rent Arrears
  • Housing Location Assistance
  • Deposit/First Month Rent
  • Utility Assistance

Determinations are made based on income, level of need and barriers being faced by the household.

Program participants meet with Housing Stabilization staff at a minimum of once per month to develop a housing stability plan and to address issues and barriers that caused a past housing related crisis. Supportive services can include connections to employment and training, budgeting assistance, landlord mediation, and referrals to community resources.

Referrals for Rapid Re-Housing are only accepted through the regional coordinated entry system at 419-990-5135.
