NOCAC Service Updates Due To Coronavirus

NOCAC is making changes to our service programs in an effort to help stop the spread of the COVID-19 virus.

Because our country is continually updating plans to deal with this fluid situation, there may be other changes implemented in the future.  NOCAC will post these updates to our services as they occur so we can continue to meet our clients’ needs.

NOCAC Community Service offices are open for all HEAP, PIPP and Emergency Service appointments. Appointments can be conducted via phone interview or face-to-face. Walk in services will resume (Tuesdays, 8:15-10 am and Thursdays, 2-4:00pm). Those seeking assistance should still schedule an appointment online or by calling 1-419-219-4641.

The PATH Center Soup Kitchen will open for lunch service only beginning June 14, 2021 from 11:30-1:00pm. Carryout lunches or packaged meals are available for curbside pick-up from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm.  Meal delivery for Defiance City residents is available on a limited basis.  Call 419-782-6962, before 9:00 am to reserve meal pick up or meal delivery.

Commodities will be distributed.  We will ask for people to line up in their cars and they will be handed pre-packaged commodities after they are signed in.  We ask that no one gets out of the vehicles.

Beginning July 6, 2021, the PATH Center Soup Kitchen and Drop-in Center will resume regular business hours from 8:00am – 5:00pm Monday through Friday.

NOCAC Head Start/ECE classes and Home Visits have resumed and are operating under the guidance provided by the Ohio Department of Health, Ohio Department of Job and Family Services, the Office of Head Start, and the Office of Governor Dewine. We are still taking applications for the 2021-2022 School Year. For information on how to enroll, please contact Nate Kline  at 419-784-2150 ext. 1140.
