Free Coats & Christmas Programs

With cold weather fast approaching, NOCAC would like to distribute this information regarding coat distribution in the Defiance area. 

Defiance: November 16th 9-5 and Nov. 17. 1-4 p.m
Defiance County Coats for Christmas distribution at The First Presbyterian Church, 501 Washington Ave., Defiance. Coat distribution is open to anyone in the Defiance area in need of a coat as winter approaches.  For more information, call 419-782-2781.

There are also several Christmas assistance programs available to help families this holiday season.

Defiance:  Ravens taking applications 11/22/19 at First Church of God, 561Carter Rd. from  8:30am-6:30pm.  Call 419-782-7141 for questions.

Paulding:  NOCAC taking applications 11/11/17 at Paulding Senior Center,  401 Jackson St. from 9am-4pm. Call NOCAC at 419-399-3650 for questions.

Henry:   Applications available at NOCAC before Nov 1st. Call for application at 419-599-2481  or call Maggie at 419-438-3804.

Van Wert:   Salvation Army does applications.  Call Salvation Army (419)910-9332 to make an appointment.

Fulton:  Jobs and Family sends out application. Call JFS if you did not receive your application. Christmas food basket for Delta School district households  – contact 419-822-4407.

Williams: Jobs and Family sends out applications.  Contact them at 419-636-6725 if you did not receive on.

NOTE:  Henry County also sponsors the Christmas Cheer program.  Apply at participating churches, or at the Henry County Department of Job and Family Services, 104 E. Washington St., Napoleon. The final day to make basket reservations is Nov. 15. Questions about the program may be directed to 419-267-3619. Baskets will be distributed Dec.12.  Baskets are to be picked up in local communities at the same places where government food commodities are distributed. Pick-up points are listed on the back of the application.
